Top 5 Countdown: Best Ways to Enjoy the Fall season in Branson, Number 1:

Enjoy the Fall Harvest Festival at Silver Dollar City:

It was almost an unfair competition for the number 1 spot on the countdown, as this activity was the only one of the five to have "Fall" in its name. In my humble opinion, Silver Dollar City is always a great option for Branson visitors and this is especially true during the fall. We've already talked about the train at Silver Dollar City, but riding the rollercoasters also provides a breathtaking view of the surrounding Ozarks as you approach the apex of the incline (of course, immediately afterwards you are left breathless again by the rapid descent). Also, as the Fall weather becomes more brisk you can still walk around the park with hot cider as a shield against the cold.

The Fall Harvest Festival offers the return of the Headin' West show to the Opera House as well as a great range of visiting performers, including: Asleep at the Wheel, John Conlee (as part of their "Salute to the Great American Farmer"), and Buck Taylor. Make sure to visit the SDC website to see all the Festival offers and the schedule of performers.

Fall also means even greater discounts available on vacation packages through SDC. To look through their various offers click here.

Well, I hope you enjoyed reading the Fall Countdown and that it provided you with some helpful ideas on what to do in Branson this Fall. There are many other worthy Fall activities that Branson offers so look for a post of these honorable mention activities soon. I wish a happy Fall season to all my readers!
