If you are planning to be in the Branson area on June 6th or 7th, feel free to bring your fishing pole and cast a line in Lake Taneycomo or Table Rock Lake even if you do not have a permit. No, I'm not encouraging civil disobedience against fishing regulations but I am encouraging you to take advantage of Missouri's Free Fishing Days.
This is an especially great opportunity for the out-of-state angler who doesn't have a Missouri license or for the Missourian who hasn't tried fishing. For the latter, the Missouri Department of Conservation has many scheduled classes on fishing available throughout the summer.
